My Story
My formal training in fine arts took place at both Capilano College and at UBC. I used my fine arts education to enter into the teaching profession as a primary teacher in the public school system. For the better part of three decades, I have helped inspire primary students to develop a love of art. I have learned a great deal from these young students and for most of my teaching career, these little people have been my only audience and art critics. Returning to painting, after so long, is exciting. As I channel my 22 year old art student self and push paint around on a canvas, I easily remember why I have always been drawn to the applied arts.
